Living Arrows, Week 2/52

This year I’m joining in with the Living Arrows project. I’ll be posting a photo or two every week to capture the everyday childhood moments. I really like the idea that I will build up a weekly record of family life. I think it will show the children growing up and changing through the year. The title Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.”

This week’s  photo is of Sam. Ideally I’m planning to post pictures of all 3 of the kids but it just depends what photos I’ve taken that week. I also think it is good for them to get some individual attention every so often.  When we are out and about I’m often so busy that I forget to take any pictures.  Photo credit for this picture goes to Rolando.

This photo was taken last week at Bury Lane Farm Shop and Cafe. We arranged a last minute meet up with our very special friends Rosanna and Gianni and their daughter Gabriella. We don’t get to see them too often as we live in different cities. We all had a chance to have a good catch up and exchange Christmas presents.  It was such a fun afternoon for all of us.

What I really like about this photo is that it shows a moment of calm in what was a really busy day. I think Sam was just having a moments rest after running around so much.

I will try and remember to take a photo of all of the kids this week ready for next weeks Living Arrows post.
