I’ve seen another blogger (Rachel from The Melton House) post a monthly bucket list. I totally love this idea so I thought I’d shamelessly steal it (even though we are a week in already). I’m really looking forward to (the rest of) March. The weather might finally warm up a little and there is a hint of spring in the air. I’ve also got two weeks of annual leave to look forward to so I might have a little bit more free time.
The month has already got off to an amazing start as I went to The Wolesley in London for gorgeous afternoon tea with my best friend. It was such a treat to have a posh cakes and a really good natter finished off with some bubbly!
I love doing crafts with the kids and have hit the Internet to stock up on a few supplies to use this month. We are going to have a go at decorating tote bags with T-shirt markers and decorating mugs with sharpie markers (it’s taken me a good search to find the oil based sharpie marker that you need). I’m also going to make chocolate lollies with the kids as an alternative to Easter eggs. We did these last weekend and they were a massive hit!
Putting up Easter decorations
I love finding any excuse to decorate our house and am looking forward to getting out our Easter decorations. We always have an Easter tree too – made from a blossom branch that we bring inside and decorate.
Our BIG project for this month is to put up a partition wall to divide our largest bedroom into two smaller rooms. This will allow the boys to have their own bedroom and mean that my husband and I will finally have our bedroom back. I’ve more been designing how I want it to look. Rolando is doing all of the actual work! Once we have the boys room sorted out we will switch the boys from cots to beds. We’ve just come up with a custom design to make the most of the limited space that we have available (handy that my husband designs and makes furniture for a living).
I’d love to arrange a date night with my husband. We’ve had a couple of date days but it’s been ages since we last went out in the evening (in fact writing this I can’t actually remember when we last went out together after dark). Please shout if you are up for baby sitting!
I really want to find time to take Sofia to see Zootropolis at the cinema (this is one from my 2016 movie wish list that I posted about earlier in the week).
What are you up to in March? How do you like to celebrate Easter?
